Sunday's are the days that I do literary nothing. I read my bible, I pray, I have a cup of tea. And that sums up Sunday. But. today I wanted to change something. There are lots of things in life that we cannot change and I am humbled that God made it that way. However, being creative allows me to change the surface. And in doing so, it inspires me to work with the things that I cannot change and learn to love them. My craft room for example has been changed many times. I mean every few months I move things around. The last time I did that was in January. My gallery wall has been filled with floral deocr, quotes, pictures and nothing. Today. I decided on a travel, tribal theme. I am in love with it. Lots of these things were already made and just hanging around my room. So, for it to all come together in one cohesive piece makes me so happy.
The focal point of the wall is meant to be the Giraffe.
It came out of the Ephemera Pack made by Crate Paper and Maggie Holmes for the Confetti Collection. (My all time fave collection, ever)
Now, in a few places I wanted to add some actual images. So, magazines became my friend. Although, I did not want to ruin my precious Conde Nest Travelers Magazines, The December 2014 issue had some beautiful images. I just had to use them. More, Giraffes and the ever so beautiful Elephants graced my wall.
I also wanted to add one of my favorite bible scriptures. My handwritting is not the best, but I wrote it on Vellum and added it to a blush pink background. It sums up my feelings at the moment.
Even though we can't change all things right when we'd like to, No matter where we happen to go God will be there. Right there with us. So, change what you can, love what you can't and journey on....
|When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;|
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.
